Leaving on Cruise Friday..Weather Poll.

Okay, Abi Doug and Freddie are off on Friday on the longest holiday they will have had in five years. After carefull planning to ensure the best condtions, this will be over the last week in July and First week and a bit in August.


So, here is a little poll to help us guess at what the weather will be like.... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It will start off very, very wet and fairly windy. Then the sun will come out for two days to lull you into a false sense of hope. Then the mother of all summer depressions will park itself over Milton Keynes and it will blow a hooley and rain like it was Vietnam in the monsoon, from Penzance to Oban. Lerwick might be nice though. Then, on the last day, the sun will come out and it will be gloriously warm and sunny, you'll have a fine sail home and it will stay that way for your first week back at work.

I was planning to do the same this w/e but have been "persuaded" by my other half to play safe and catch a plane to somewhere not so wet.

We were supposed to be heading off into the balmy waters of the South Coast next week, but we've decided to postpone until it stops piddling it down every day.

we've got the same 2 weeks sailing the south coast so I'm really grateful you can arrange for us only to have occassional rain for 2 weeks. Well done!

ditto....looking for a window Sunday onwards for a crossing from Solent to Alderney...and then perhaps Sark/Jersey.
