My house bank comprises 4 x 110 AHr lead acid batteries. I have a newly installed Victron 712 battery monitor.

Over winter / hardstanding is it common to disconnect it or is its drain insignificant? I normally visit the boat every 4-6 weeks and the bank gets about 4 hours of charge during each visit.

Pros and cons of leaving it connected?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Victron charger/inverter. Except when we are away from the berth whilst cruising it is never turned off. Been left on all winter for the past fifteen years. No problems.
