Hello everyone,

My suede leather covering on the steering wheel could do with a little bit of TLC. Has anyone got any recommendations / solutions to bringing it back from early retirement?

Many thanks

I stained my brand-new leather Barmah hat the other day but happily I got the stain out and you'd barely notice it now, Then I decided to find out what I should have done and came across this article which confirmed I had done the right thing.

(There are other articles on the 'net too if you google something like "suede leather jacket conditioner" or "suede boot cleaning"

On leather wheel covers, mine is/ was white, but looking very piebald at present.
Any tips to restore to pristine whiteness would be appreciated!

Mine had been left out without a cover for years and was green, dry and hard. I scrubbed it with soapy water and a brush, which got a lot of dirt out, but it's far from clean. Then rubbed in some Renapur, which made it nice and supple again.

Next I need to restitch it, because the thread has also gone in parts. As I have to stitch it anyways, I'm tempted to take it all off and wash it, which is apparently a thing you can do, but it's fairly low on the todo list.
