Saturn Sails at Largs were very helpful in supplying the necessary bits. All I did was let them know wheel and rim diameters. Try them on: 01475689933.
it would have been a traditional DIY hand stitched canvas jobbie - Oh yes, and complete with nice cordage turks heads to finish it off. Fings arent the same as when I was at sea..........
I see bearded old salt with tatoo, telescoope, smoke puffing out of funnel at stern........
You see dinghy, something slightly pornographic.....................
It must be true, it does harm your eyesight.....
Wot ...yours?
Hey this is starting to get personal...........
All I'm trying to do is add a litlle variety to life. You must admit the visual impact of the forums has brightened up no end since i started doing flaggy thingies and everyone jumped on the tender. Now we're all looking forward to switching on the decorations later this month....well some of us anyway.
Wot you want me to do...go back to boring or stay lively and keep looking for new little piccies to keep you amused. PaulineB was positively ecstatic about Bart doing a moony but i only used that once - dont want to overexpose etc.
And elsewhere on these forum thingies Bagpuss has accused me of nicking his bottle!!! As if I'd need to .I've got plenty of bottle of my own thanks. Still saving up for a yellow T-shirt tho if you know what I mean ;-)
Thanks to CCSCOTT for your succint reply. However Halfords is for cars and not yachts. You can easily spot the difference - cars have a wheel at each corner and are much less fun if you find yourself out at sea in one.
Never heard of an aqua car, made in east germany, I think, with a triumph herald engine. Seriously, Thin rope, wrapped round and round (tedious I know) seems to be very good, good grip and not hard on the hands, a friend has this and we once had to hand steer from Lagos to Madeira, it was comfortable. If you were in Lagos, I could give you a strip of green leather, leather punch and even the line to hold it on! Just to say sorry for my little joke, took you long enough to see it!
