I have a 'Destroyer' type outside wheel and want to cover it with leather, or suede or similar. Anyone know of a firm making/supplying kits.
I have done several searches and drawn a blank.

Thanks.

I saw one in the chandlers in Cowes a few years back.

My new Bavaria has one so why not try Opal Marine or Whitlock Steering Systems?

Hi I had my wheel leather covered by a lady in Penryn near Falmouth. She works up stairs at the Boathouse in Penryn, and I am sure she would make up a kit for you, You will have to call "The Boathouse" 01326374177 and they will give you her name and number.

Boat Leather in Seattle have an excellent range of colours, finishes and thicknesses - all available in pre-punched kits which come with full sewing instructions. They also have foam-padded kits for a softer, chunkier feel. Good website with online ordering.

Alternatively, most of the steering system manufacturers have leather kits (certainly Edson and Solimar do).
