Leather and lace

Am I the only one who finds it impossible to keep the leather laces on my boat shoes done up? Any tips?

Funnily enough there was a one page article in MBM a few years back - I think from the "Hands On" series. As I have all my old copies of the the mag still I'm sure I can find it - what an excuse to get the old copies out !

From memory it was something like a single bow but double knotted, ish.!

In the office, groan, so won't find til later.

Someone else on here may have the issue more to hand - or may have a better way.

The only boat shoes Mr B has that stay done up are Sebago's. The others are always coming undone.

Instead of spending half the day bending over to see to your laces, would it not be more sensible to buy slip-ons --- or is that far too simple? /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I don't have that problem, as on the boat and in and around the marina, I'm usually bare footed.

And before you all shout "then why do you buy all those shoes ffs!" ...... I NEED them !

old army trick, sandpaper the laces, then they grip each other.
