Least Resistant In-Mast Furling Line

I'm trying to solve the problem of extremely stiff in-mast furling. The quick win is to replace the existing stiff line with something new. What would you suggest?

Might a Dyneema line provide the least resistance along its various twists and bends back to the cockpit?

The problem is unlikely to be the furling line - but you can check by operating it at the mast. Line does not have to be anything special, ordinary braid on braid as you would use for halyards will be fine.
