Hi,

I don't knnow if anyone can help but the windows on my Cleopatra seem to leak during heavy rain. Yesterday I looked at them carefully and found it hard to determine exactly where the problem was. Can anyone give me some pointers.

There is a really good stuff at the chandlers, I cant remember what its called but it is a liquid that you squirt at top of windows which then penetrates and dries inside window and acts as a sealer!

I have used before to solve problem quickly!

It's called Captain Tully's or similar. Excelent stuff. Squirt it around the edges where you think it might be leaking and it finds it for you.

Re: New set of teeth required

Captain Tully's Creeping Crack Cure for a Cleopatra. Is magic sruff. All boats should be required to carry it by law. Every time I go out in the bouncy up and down, crash wollop stuff. My windows leak. Squirt round with Tully's and you can see where its come through. So squirt that bit again after about an hour. Till it stops comming through. Then it dries clear. So as wot you cant see it.

Normally only works for small leaks.

With a boat of your age it may be necessary to remove windows and re seal.
There is a soft special tape that the professionals use which takes up any undulations in the moulding. Had my old Moonraker done which had leaks everywhere, and afterwards perfect.

I acquired it from Reading Marine Windows Ltd, but they had just done the windows on my boat. I'm sure they would provide the name of their supplier.
It is treated like a gasket between the window frame and the GRP.
