I find that the blanked off end fitting has broken at the soldered in end. Can you just buy the fittings which will take a push on pipe or do I have to buy a made up set?
Looking on the web I can find kits for modern engines but need the old type with a banjo type connection.

Edit PS Is there a bleeding requirement along the leak off pipe? IE if a fitting is loose will it just leak or will it allow air into the system which would then need to be bled?

On my leyland engine I have double banjo fittings with plastic pipe interconnections.

On my perkins its rigid pipe with soldered connections.

Both work OK.

As far as leaking air in to the injector I don't think so but never tried it. I don't see how it could as the open end of my bleed off pipe is open to the air in the top of the tank tank

Thanks Roger. Being a tight wad I hope to get an 'end banjo' Though I suppose I could just blank off one end, and connect the new fitting by rubber pipe to the broken off pipe. Will search for Leland type banjos.

Regarding bleeding, now I think about it my own pipe just goes back to the top of the CAV then flows into the top of the tank ( on this rebuild it is just going into Jug!).

Thanks for your help ( again!)

There are basically 2 types of double banjos

You can also get a 90 degree type as well

This is used with a single banjo bolt

2 copper washers are used

This way will need 3 copper washers

You could also try to use the current ones by cutting the pipe and clamping rubber pipe on to them.

I have used small cable ties to clamp with a cable tie tool to tighten the cable ties up tight enough.
