Le Havre marina - anyone keep their boat there?

I’m not sure it’s necessarily about cheapness, more the change or improvement to your sailing area. It was a huge wrench and mindset change 10 years ago when I bought a boat in Croatia and put my existing boat up for sale in Weymouth. But a two hour EasyJet flight was almost always cheaper than a three hour train to Weymouth from home in London. I just had to think in terms of money and journey time, and forget about distance.

From my viewpoint therefore Le Havre is much further away than most Med marinas.
I agree but most Med marinas in Spain & France are more than double to three times the cost of channel ports and frequently more than UK channel ports. I think there are advantages in being able to drive to your boat. I moved my last boat to Barcelona from Gibraltar.. I live in Spain. I found the 1300K drive a bit tiring and started flying.. A pain not having a car and long term parking mine at airport also expensive... I used hire cars at Barcelona end but that too had cost convenience issues- Now I would tend to go for a place that I can drive to and leave the car for long periods whilst I sail

I live in Portsmouth and can walk to the ferry, in Le havre l can walk to the boat too - so not a problem. A change of scene is what we are after with easy access. Even with 10 trips a year still cheaper than Haslar for us - 14M.
