Anybody picked up crew in Le Harve recently ?

In a couple of weeks time the boat will be in Le Harve area and i have some extra crew coming over from the UK. They will be coming across either from hapmshire area or Kent.

Thought it would be as simple as getting a ferry, but as P&O have cut the pompey Le Harve route, it's run by LD lines now one overnite ferry a day leaving at 23.00 which is not really practical. Is there any direct train routes from say Cherb or Caen to Le Harve. Looks like you can get a eurostar via paris.

Any other suggestions would be most welcome

TIA

I can't answer your question, but I have found this german site to be one of the best for European rail timetables. Leaves the UK's National Rail online effort far behind. Its in English too, so no language worries.

A few minutes on that, and it seems its 2 changes from Cherbourg to Le Havre, the first change being Caen - which may answer your question after all.

You might try your local library for Cooks European Railway Timetable!. Or even buy one from T.Cook! In my experience far more useful for this sort of planning job than the internet.
