Just Like to thank everyone involved with organizing last night's bash.
As a first timers we didn't know what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed the convivial company, putting faces to names, the quiz.....

So once again

Obrigado de novo
Merci encore
Gracias nuevamente
Dank uwel!
nogmaals bedankt

Russ and Christine
looking forward to the next one

Morons rule :)

Smashing time and great company, special thanks to the quiz master and mistress, there is a hell of a lot of effort that goes into producing one.

Nice to have been associated with Morons!!!!!

We had a great evening too and was good to meet everyone. Thanks to Lisa and Lyn and their other halves for organising the very difficult quiz - that really tested the old brain cells. Look forward to seeing everyone out and about next season or in Fambridge or in Limehouse. Was a bit interesting returning this morning from BYH in the fog.

Thanks to all who came along, it was a very good evening indeed.
Thanks indeed to Lynn and Mark for the completely inscrutable quiz. There is just so much I don't know.....
Hopefully, those who had never visited Royal Corinthian will have seen that is not as posh or snooty, and will return too. Full Circle on the hammerhead took us back a while.

I thought the food was excellent good value and the cheese board was outstanding.

I had some empty bottles on board this morning, I have no idea how that happened.....

The trip back to Tollesbury was 'interesting', no vis for mile after mile, nailed the Ray Sand passage 1.7m total depth up the 1 degree line. Perfect timing. Getting back into Woodrolfe creek was very challenging, did that on tick over and radar.

Just like to add another vote of thanks to all who worked so hard putting the evening together.

Inky enjoyed the sausage.

Wife drunk too much wine.

Just wish it had lasted longer so I could have met more of you all.

Still, there's always the 'fitting up' to look forward to :-)

Just to add my thanks also to those involved , caught up with old friends and met some new ones .

As others have said the trip back up river was interesting as I have neither a plotter or radar to follow .

Note to self , put some way points into gps on a good day .

Bring on fitting up .....

Cheers all

It was another good ECF do. What I think is great tips that every time, no matter how many attend, there are always new people. Quite a few last night - if everybody who has ever come then turned up it would be massive. How do we make that happen?

Thanks Lisa and Marc and the FCs.

I'd like to add my thanks to all the organisers. Great company, and it was good to put faces to some of the names of this forum. Brenda was welcoming and not at all grumpy and both food and wine were enjoyable and good value.

I'm not new to the Concrete - first sailed there in a cadet in the early 60's - but share FC's view that it's not in the least bit snooty. The same applies to the RB and many other royal clubs around our coast - it's a shame that the R seems to put so many off these days.

thanks for the thanks, but have to say that this was one of the easiest to arrange: no berths to coordinate, no menus to collate, no money to collect, no chasing up of anyone and everyone turned up who said they would, plus some extras :-)

Royal Corinthian were a delight to deal with too. Very proactive over the booking and they'd laid out the room beautifully.

A very laid back, relaxed and lovely evening - so nice to see everyone.

Was'nt that good for all of us, you didn't have to go home with Uncle Albert talking about his wartime exploits...

Thanks Unc.

Didn't realize you were one of the 'Sailing in carpet slippers' team :)

I got a lovely pair of Dubarry sailing boots for Christmas two years ago. Warm and comfy and would look the part on my gaff rigged flush decked gaffer, very Tom Cunliffe. That January I bought the Colvic Watson! I keep the Dubarries in a box at home, as one day, one day, I WILL get another gaffer :-)
