From a current thread with a new first time buyer.
I thought it might be amusing to add to the list and see how long we can get it.
Here are your starters for 10... to get the ball rolling.
The known Law of SOD - Essentials of buying a boat are:
1. Your first boat will be a wrong choice.
2. Second boat is just right, for a year or two.
3. Someone will always knock it.
4. All boats are a compromise.
5. The absolutely super spot-on perfect boat that is just right is only another £50k more!
6. BOAT stands for - 'Bring On Another Thousand'
7. You bought out-drives but some 'expert' sea dog tells you you should have bought something with shafts.
8. The right outboard for the dinghy! but just won't quite plane.
9. The GPS chip has the adjacent chart to the area you're area.
10. 'Fully serviced.' But none of the silly bits like horn and lights work.
