Launching time for Antifoul

I have been looking for an antifoul for my boat and I've noticed that some specifications give a maximum launch time. What would happen to the AF if you exceeded the launch time?

For example, I was thinking of applying it next weekend but not launching to April and some AF's say maximum 1 month?

I think that they vary so you need to find out the time for your brand. I presume the surface dries too much and therefore the self-eroding does not work. Perhaps a quick sanding is required to revitalise it if this happens.

Thanks for that, so I suppose it wouldd be ok to put one coat on now and another a week or two before she goes back in the water?
