Well, the day arrived with a good forecast. Last jobs of fitting the FlexoFold and Stripper on monday and collecting the sails from Kemps who added UV strips and recut the luff of the jib.

Going down. Nowhere near as romantic as sliding down greased ways hoping there is enough water to float.

Motoring off to Swanwick.

Week of finishing off and sea trials next Friday then hopefully straight back to Poole.

It was - but only for one day. Back to normal today with low cloud and rain courtesy of a low drifting north from France.

This was our hand-over day almost 2 years ago (in 10 days). A very special day.

After 3 months' deliberations....Symphony II (replacing Symphony) Just about to order the graphics - if I can get agreement to the font. Whittled down to choice of 13 out of the 50 on offer so nearly there.

Now parked next to a 3 storey black hulled Princess which blocks all the light out. Feel a bit like Ronnie Corbett in the famous sketch.

No need for it. lived in the forecabin while we were in and out of the cockpit doing work. 30 seconds to fit once launched.

If you're having heating fitted, make sure they don't fit the pickup pipe into the top of the plastic fuel tank - it's likely to leak. Don't ask how I know!

Before you take it away, get the dealer to show you exactly where the main wiring runs are, eg NMEA2000 backbone, mast connections, VHF antenna, etc. It will save you lots of time in the future.

I would have preferred factory fit, but then it wouldn't have had an outlet in the heads.
