I have to say that I have agreed with most of the complaints over the last year or so that the copy in YM is becoming simply regurgitated rubbish. However the article in the latest comic on radar is excellent. Sir Tom has stepped up to the plate in exemplary fashion and his expert is obviously used to working with educated idiots and as such it all comes over marvellously.
I reckon that with this article and a manual even the dullest skipper will make enough sense of his equipment to avoid another Wahkuna incident. Having once done a RYA radar course that would be better and a lot cheaper.
Strongly recommend anyone with radar, even those who think they know it all, read the piece.
