eport at 0715:

left plymouth 1815 topped up with fuel water beer etc..
beat into a f6 westerly into the night but made our course past eddystone lifgthouse and off westing. Engine off and sailing from inner harbour.

0530 NW 25 gusting 32 kts messy sea and loads of roll, since then we've eased sheets all the way down to 48 deg 42.10 N 006 deg 20.68 N

odd beam on roller and spray but settling down to life on board.
Tightening course east a bit to cut out waypoint 2 and go to three from here due to the favourable winds.

Blasted IoW ferry was the overtaking vessel, added to that I was under sail, I wasn't on his favourite transit into Portsmouth, hell on earth, close wasn't in it.. I reckon he was bored and playing chicken. how close has everyone else been?
but sailed (with permission) into a naval excercise to escape my manic stalker. HMS Monmouth and a sub came to my aid. The sub torpedoed him before he could cause any further upset and Monmouth picked up survivors .. I machine gunned the crew with an AK70 I had stuffed away JIC. These things need to be done occasionally pour encourager les autres

Blue skys, blue seas, Asterie going great, orange juice and chicken and mushroom pie for breakfast.

I have heard that imodium slows things down

oi mush - still here ye know!! 28 degrees can't decide east or west cruise.
lisboa ships very kind and chatty as we drifted past at three knots under sail. Very busy bit but good big boat skipper all happy with us unlike the bloody IoW ferries!!

cheers
