Late Fuel

I am almost empty and will be arriving in the Hamble at around 5-6pm on Friday. Is there anywhere that is open late that will supply fuel? I haves no idea of the closing times of the various suppliers, I was hoping to make straight for Falmouth but do not want to risk it without fuel particularly as Portland/Weymouth will be closed.

As I remember the fuel dock at Port Hamble stays open later than that in the summer, around 9pm IIRC. Call them on 023 8045 2741 for confirmation.

Where are you? are you currently at sea east of the IoW? What kind of vessel are you? If power only then I understand your predicament. Can you not call in somewhere further east tomorrow and fill a few cans if necessary? My fuelling place of choice would be Yarmouth as it doesn't require a large off rhum-line deviation and there are no tidal problems.

Swanwick Marina's website claims they offer fuel 24hrs a day and I've certainly had fuel from them at around 8 or 9 pm in the evenings in the past although they're a long way up the river depending upon where you are.
