Late Cruise!

I've made a decision that I'm going to risk a final week away on the boat starting Oct 4th..........

Plan is Holyhead to Dublin Skerries IOM Barrow and then in to Glasson for the winter layup.

So........... Anybody want to tag along over to Ireland as a final cruise of the year. I promise not to go too fast! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Some of the MOBOs will need to give me a head start, but I think Dublin city moorings would be good for the Saturday night.

We could try and meet up with some of the guys from the Irish side, hopefully this settled weather will stay for another couple of weeks. If it's cold we can go to the pub to keep warm.

Come on be brave,... the boats will be laid up for months after October! We could end the year on a high. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

we're out now, AND next door but one to Littleship !! At Holyhead. & She's looking grand. We set off lots of times this year to actually go somewhere serious, given up, and now can't believe the nice weather. On XC weather two full sun's for saturday and sunday round here. Hopefully it will continue into October.

Yes, we've declared an exclusion zone round Little Ship and proteced her with smoke. Mean while we are making a fortune out of the specticle. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What's at Barrow in the way of a marina? we are up in Maryport and looking for places to go. Boat is out at the moment but will be in for the winter. Looking to get to Glasson and Fleetwood too

As far as I know the marina at Barrow is only on the drawing board stage! somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

The King of Peel has recently been reinstated and there are a few buoys off Peel Island which can provide a mooring for the night.

If you want to talk about access to Glasson drop me a PM with your numbers on and I'll give you a ring!
