Met office has just announced that the spring this year was 0.5 Centigrade higher than normal.
Quite by chance so was the temperature on Mars. Could it be some strange increase in solar radiation which is causing this? ( Apparently they dont have 4 x 4 s on Mars so it cant be that)

Nope. It's all human. There's been a massive increase in the number of 6x6s.
