Moving to Cyprus in early 2016, so boat up for sale latter part of 2015.

I hope the boating is as fun as we have enjoyed over the last seven years, but before you start cheering, I'll still be online...

Reasons are many-fold, but mainly due to the fact I will be able to give up work, and enjoy a higher disposable income due to several differences in the Cypriot economy, albeit without a boat. Although I could get a Bayliner with a massive V8 for relatively little. Depends on the berthing costs...LOL

Good luck with your plans to move away! You will not be able to resist the boat ownership thing afraid it's in your blood! Wish you all the best and hope good health will be on your side

Thanks Geoff, I have already been looking at some modestly sized Sports boats in Cyprus!

There is no river, as such, but a lovely little harbour in Ayia Napa and something like a "cough" Bayliner with a V8 might actually make sense due to the low fuel prices and probable use.

The thought of anchoring up just off the beach and swilling Pimms is too good to resist!

I may even be able to do some waterskiing if SWMBO will take the helm. (cringes at the thought of poor Kirsty McColl's sad demise!!)

Main reasons are we can enjoy a higher quality of life whilst not actually having to work at all, such is the tax and property market in Cyprus...
