Hi,
I still have last year 2-stroke mixture and some fuel. I wonder if I can use it without troubles, or, to be on safe side, I should get new one?

If it's been in a sealed can, it may well be all right. If it smells funny or gives problems, get some fresh.

I have always kept 2 stroke fuel from one year to the next
But I always keep it it full airtight metal cans in a coolplace
The aim being to minimize contact with air, exclude light and prevent loss of lighter components

After some trouble one year that saw me having to strip and clean the carb while tethered to one of the buoys off Cowes on a dark and windy night I have always filtered it before reuse ( I think the trouble may have been due to the oil rather than the petrol)

I also mix the old with some fresh 50:50

Some engines are more tolerant of old fuel than others. Ive never risked it in my Evinrude. The Seagull is Ok on 1 year old stuff but not happy with anything
older. My Flymo doesn't like anything older than 6 months
