Last weekend, in Seaport Marina there were a number of British Boats waiting for the weather to clear. The Boat next to us, a 8 or 9 mtr long keeled sloop had made his way from Norway and was due to leave about an hour after us. He was heading for the Deben as I recall. He also said that the boat would be new to the Deben
My wife later her a Channel 16 conversation between a yacht and a commercial vessel. The Yacht had an engine failure (there was little wind) and was asking the other vessel if he had seen him as he had no AIS transponder. The last she heard was that he was drifting South. She thought this might have been our erstwhile neighbour.... The Yachts name might have been Speedwell...
I wonder whether anybody would be able to say if he made the Deben safely?
