last refurb for a classic

We have a sparkman & stephens deb 33 plug boat made with carvel splined mahogany on laminated iroco frames, with teak on top and a bronze lifting keel and fittings.
She has been out of the water for five years which has taken its toll but the hull is still solid apart from a few bits of rot.
Should we sheath in cloth on epoxy or not.

If, by "taken it's toll" you mean she has dried out to the extent that the spined seams have split, then definitely not.

Epoxy sheathing should not be applied if movement is possible.

This sounds like a case for some advice from a professional boatbuilder, and one well versed in glued construction methods (not necessarily splined carvel, but cold moulded, strip planking etc).

As an afterthought, it might be useful to look at the restoration of the Camper & Nicholson sloop Rocquette, which on the face of it seems a somewhat similar case. If the following lead doesn't work, go to Woodenboat and you'll see it on page 2

Thanks for info, the hull is sound apart from some slight lifting of the odd plank, shoud I wet the hull to take up or cover it dry?
