Hi All
I need to fit a new lashing to the top of my foresail. I have some 4mm Dyneema I could use , but it seems very slippery. What do you recommend and what type of knot should I use to finish off the job.
Thanks in anticipation RPP

What is the purpose of the lashing? surely the top of the foresail has a webbing strap that attaches to the halyard with either a shackle in an eye or a halyard knot in the halyard.

You do realise this is the Liveaboard forum, don't you, rigpig? We generally prefer lashings of gin.

Your question might be better answered on the PBO forum, but in the meantime Tranona's post #2 is the usual set-up. What's on the head of your sail now?

Not, I think though on a top down furler. The head of the sail is attached to the top of the furler and then the furler is attached to the halyard.

What does the furler manufacturer or the sailmaker recommend?
