Mrs PD sails a Laser Pico.
A "complaint" is that the centreboard is prone to rising up on it's own.
I'm not sure if the centreboard is wood or plastic, but it's light and solid (and painted)
It just drops through the hole in the keel. At the top of the hole is what looks like a black plastic guide, and the bottom of the hole is just the hole in the keel.
The point is though, it's quite a loose fit.
the only thing that tries to hold it in place is an elastic cord from the top of the CB that hooks round the mast foot, pulling forwards a little on the CB.
My feeling is the top hole should have some form or rubber or brush surround that makes the CB a tight (but not too tight) fit in it's hole.
Are we missing a bit? or any ideas for a simple to build modification we can do?
