Hi,

The boat search saga continues, having just got back from the Stockholm boat show we are narrowing down our final choice. Having now removed the Chaparral ( couldn't see a 260, and the 240 is too small for us ) and the Inter 7700 ( seems a lot of money for what you get )

Therfore we are now seiously considering :-

Marex 290 or a Larson 240 or 260

I know these boats are completely different and so are the prices however they would work differently for our needs ( short versus long term etc etc) and the price of a new Larson is not so different from a 5 year old Marex

We have seen the Larson 260, it looks to have a very usable layout, even allowing for the odd cabin layout, we haven't yet managed to see a 240 but the pics look as if it might work, and as for the Marex I had a problem getting Caroline of the damn thing !

Can anyone please give me any info or thoughts on these boats, as ever I appreciate the experience, comments and thoughts of the people in this forum,

Barrie
