Large ship simulator software (game)

Does anyone know of a ship simulator 'game' along the line of MS Flight Simulator? I'd love to have a go 'driving' some of the large ships in close quarters. Many thanks.

Yes. Auran, the Australian outfit best known for its Trainz train simulations has just brought out a ship version. All sorts of big ships apparently, including, inevitably, Titanic. Not too dear, either, but I can't remember more details.

It's downloadable from www.shipsim.com for under 20 quid.

Very nice game if a little simplistic in it's controls. A dedicated controller is available but costs over 300 quid!!

I have got Virtual Skipper 3... I very rarely use it, but is suppsed to be OK. You can design your own courses, winds, tides, etc (if I remember correctly)... about £20.

Google for "Ports of Call", bit of ship sim and bit of running a shipping line. A lot of fun.
