large bar bills

Was it so large that he couldn't sail on Sunday?

Word on the street is that even Dougie 3 Bottles couldn't run up a bill of this size, even if he had CPD, Morgana, Guapa, sailorman and me to help him out.

I thought we did that on our own on Saturday /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Still my horns are working now....

Let this be a warning to us all ................

A lunchtime sandwich and coffees at Shotley on Saturday, tab left open, a few beers in the evening. Closed the tab before opening another as about to embark upon what was a very pleasant evening with Morgana et al.

The young lady behind the bar punched figures into the machine, handed it over for the PIN.

I entered the PIN, and then noticed ...........

............... just before pressing the "go" button.

I went white

She went red.

And we both laughd nervously at what could have been, although hopefully the bank machine would have responded with a raucous hearty laugh at the attempt.

A little ditty and a fine reminder to check in future !!!!

There was a short sail in Mr.T on Sunday back to Bradwell but most was motor sailed to get back to get up the creek which was managed with 30cm spare. When she was sailing, heck was she sailing. Sitting at a water speed of 7kts comfortably with about 15kts just behind the beam, reefed, is a completely new experience for me. I look forward to many many more /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Many thanks to Neil, Dougie, Jim and Lynne for the impromptu visit, beer and chat. It was a really lovely way to welcome Mr.T.

Well obviously you are now considered to be well heeled yottie, with fabbo boat, rather than less salubrious Westerly, and they obviously charged you regatta rates for the vintage Krug.
Happens all the time to Posh Boat Owners.
