Large amount of lobster pots in Poole Bay

I wasailing around the bay yesterday and found I was constantly avoiding lobster pots, far more than usual. Did anyone else notice this? Or was I just in the wrong area? I was sailing in a triangle between Hook Sands, Bournemouth and Old Harry

I thought that there were less on my course between Christchurch and Studland over the weekend.

Agree, on the direct line from Hurst to the Looe channel earlier in the year we dodged the normal set over Christchurch Ledge but were surprised at the mass of floats in the last couple of miles into Poole. No poles with flags either, just buoys.
