Took the boat out on Monday. Duoprop had been coated in four month's worth of barnacles by the end of June. Cleaned them off early July and daubed props with lard. Result:- John 4 Barnacles Nil. They were as clean as a whistle except for a very very slight covering of slime. Will try it for a complete season next year.

most of the barnacle spores/eggs have found a home in UK waters at least, before july, most hard fouling takes place before then. You may find it wont work for a whole season, but always worth a try!

You weouldn't believe the fouling down here, you dont scrub it off or even scrape it off, you have to fight them first!!
