laptop - mobile connectivity......?

Please help !

Hope this has not been done to death already.!

Looking to get web access via Sony Ericsson V800(3G) and a Win 98 laptop.

It'll be ad hoc useage to start with.

Vodafone ( I have direct account), are not very helpful........

The O/S should not be the issue, nor the air time provider, do u have the connection cable for the Erricson and the CD to install the drivers? If yes what ISP are you useing if AOL etc just reinstall the software to find the phone as the new connection devise/modem?

Vodafone have called me back at last - one cable and CD out to me today.

I've always found connecting via a hand set a pain to configure, I now use a vodafone connect card.

But. In theory. You'll need a bluetooth dongle on the lappy toppy and a copy of vodafone connect ME (download it from their www. site)

You might even need vodafone to send some settings to your phone.

If you speak to the right person at Vodafone they'll help set it up. ..... it's a BIG if tho.
