I had a quick nose around Puerto Calero Marina this easter and there's a fair few charter boats of various types to choose from. Deep sea game fishing to sailing, etc.
also a very good / excellent Italian . walk up the hill away from the harbour ( porto dle Carmen ) its a few ydr on the right, it has a bancony that over-loks the harbour & sea.
Also the red painted reatraunt to the right of the harbour (ie west)
I guess it is not what you really want but there is a small ferry from the north of the island - Orzola - to the island of La Graciosa. That can be very exciting and shows what the local sea can be like for smallish boats. There is a more or less permanent moderate to strong NE wind. Compared to the Solent there are very few yachts - power or sail. There are also a couple of tourist excursion type catamarans of you fancy that sort of thing.
Go on one of the big sailing cats, there a hoot. We went on one from Fuertaventura but I think you can get one from Puerto del Carmen as well. Free bar and your lunch if you get the right one. It takes you out for most of the day anchors for lunch and a swim. You may even get to cruise past the infamous nudist beach were you will be provided with binocs. and all the piss heads on the cruise start to hurl obsenities and show there backsides. Or was that just the trip we were on /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
