Lanerboy has made it to Weymouth

Just heard from shawn, he is safely tied up in Weymouth marina, weather must have been good as he did it in 1 hour 55 mins from the fuel barge in cowes.

I won't write any more as its his show, but contrary to some of the useless comments made by others a few weeks back on him asking for help on when to go , weather advise etc he chose an excellent day today with light winds and the tide up his bum all the way.

Well done shawn, but believe me every day at sea won't be as good as today!!

yes we had a great trip pulled out of cowes fuel berth at 10.30 and rolled into weymouth and tied up at the pontoon to wait for the bridge at 12.25pm so not too bad a run and as we had to wait till 2pm for the bridge is was only polite to sample a quick pint and burger and chips in the old roons inn, sea state was much like the canal most of the way just a bit of a swell at the end of the needles and then again at the edge of st albans head but overall i dont think we could of got a better day.

visability was a little poor at times with a couple of strong showers and we could hardly make out the land for the whole trip all we could see was grey sky hence no pics as there was nothing to see

looking forward to going to the boat next saturday for the week as its half term may take the wife a blast down to lulworth cove as its one of her favourite places then i might show her chapmans pool as we have never been to that

thanks for the good advise from some members and to vp for getting the engines ready for the trip the boat never missed a beat

no sorry no pics too be honest there was nothing to see the visibility was terrible and it rained most the way and it was cold even with the heating running on full belt it was no match for that cold air that was blowing through every nook and cranny of the canopy
