Just found out you can now check the land registry on line.

Now know when next door bought,what they paid ,there name (handy for Xmas card) and who there morgage is with....Im not nosy but the wife wanted to know...... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The point is how do you feel that this info is now readaly available to all and sundery.....

If you remorgaged this may also be shown.......

It's useful up to a point, you have to search year by year, and only goes back a few years. Houses in my immediate locality only go on the market very rarely (many of the very few houses here have been held for over 35+ years), and so little information. The advantage of the Land Registry site is you can see all details, going back many years - this is of interest, as both mine and next door neighbour have plots of land bought seperately, extending the land we own, and not shown by sites like this, but immediately highlighted by land registry site.

Good innit.Been checking out a couple of houses we are interested in.Owners seemed to have paid rather more than we thought for them.
