Just daydreaming the other day about actually getting some time off work to hook the runabout up and spend the day on a lake or river other than the Thames . That got me thinking that i dont really know that many first hand or what the costs are or even how to pay for the day  . So i thought id ask the forum members for thier suggestions . Pictures would be good aswell :D

Launching is probably the cost.. there are public slipways (there is a webpage somewhere),as its often a question of parking the car etc, but the marinas usually have the facilities, at a cost. Size dependent, but £10-35, I guess.
Chichester harbour is pretty fanatastic, I think, and of course Poole.
For the rivers, I'd say head for south coast of Devon and Cornwall.
For smaller craft, its not too hard to find somewhere to launch, but free slipways can be very crowded, and very tidal ;)

As always the best is on your doorstep.
Launch about a fiver in quiet very secluded and secure car park for your trailer with clean brand new slip and bogs/shower.Day ticket about £10.Pub you can moor at for free dead opposite.Locks to yourself and some of the best scenery around just upriver.
Whats not to like.

Stick to freshwater, none of that 100 mile M25 nightmare with awful crash bash salty rubbish with hostile raggies everywhere and car parking prices to make your eyes water.:)
This is all available on The Medway of course.
