For obvious reasons we are taking Holidays in the UK this year and are very pleased to do so. Having gotten into the habit of flying to the Med we had forgotten how many nice places there are in the UK. With this in mind we booked a week on a camp site and took our caravan and a couple of small boats to Lake Ullswater. Our site is right on the lake with excellent access to the water, We have done very well with the weather . Here is a little video of our first trip out on the lake with the Honwave T38ie

Stunning lake. What is the name of the site you stayed at and can you launch a trailer sailer there?

Cheers,
Paul.

I cannot rate this camp site highly enough it is Parkfoot Ullswater

Parkfoot Ullswater > Lake District Campsite

and yes it would be easy to launch a trailer sailer and there is a large car park once you have launched all included in the price of your stay we paid £130 for 5 nights in our caravan on fully serviced pitch

That is amazing value. Thanks for the name and link. I will check it out?

Had some lovely weather this week, until today which has been more breezy.
You can turn up and launch at Parkfoot for £5, I think. You could previously anyway.
We love Ullswater.
