Anybody use a Lagun cockpit table please? ... The one which uses a bracket which bolts through the side of the cockpit and rotates every which way.
Any good? .. Stable? .. Recommended?

Refueller has one & is very pleased with it. Given his parsimonious attitude to boating kit I was surprised he got it. He has a mount in the cabin & one in the cockpit. He has set up several positions in either location & one application planned is for a small chart table for use underway in the cockpit.

I doubt you will contact him on here any more, too many people gave him stick for his opinions.

I'd like one, but the price scares me silly.

Lagun Table

Hi,
I've got one of these, bought it 7/8 years ago, it was expensive but it is well made and has proved durable. We had no practical way of using a pedestal table so the fact this could be side mounted was perfect. Obviously a lot of thought had to be put in to reinforcing the mounting place coupled with the necessary arcs it could prescribe (necessary for us to get behind the table). I think two table tops were offered at the time, we bought the larger which has a lip most of the way round with a small gap to get the crumbs off. You could get it without the top if you wanted but it is perfect for us, they have taken the corners off to make it easier to manouvre round things. It removes from it's mounting plate easily and the leg slots securely under the table top.
Every year we pat our selves on the back as to what a good purchase it was (actually my wifes idea, I thought it was too expensive)
Hope this is not too much information.

Lagun table experience

Installed one earlier this year but with a different top as I did want a real teak leaf.

The moment arm is very large when someone pushes on the edge of the table furthest away from the mounting plate. In my case this meant that I needed to substantially reinforce the wall on which the mounting plate was fixed to minimise movement and the risk of future gell coat cracking due to flexing of the mounting wall.

Invariably there is less stability then with a pedestal mounted table but this is more than compensated by the freedom provided in positioning and adjusting the table leaf.

Agreed the table is expensive but it provides a neat and flexible solution and I'm very happy with it.

Regards,
Kees

I have had one for several years and find it superbly useful. Bought a second mounting plate for cockpit which makes dining in the sun or out sailing very pleasurable. Only problem Ive had was one of the prackets for tightening got worn but was able to get a replacement easily. Definately recommend it.

Another thumbs up here. Very stable considering it moves. The best thing about it is that you can swivel it round where needed...my saloon is pretty small (Sabre 27) so you can get it out the way, or almost swivel it to an "L-shaped" galley work surface if that makes sense.

I also have a mount in the cockpit and it's great to move it out there.

Top tip, don't mount the swivel arm to the table centrally, mine is about 1/3 of the way over. Gives many more "options" with regards to reach/position.

Another happy customer. In our long, narrow cockpit it has transformed our lunches and dinners. We have had it for six or seven years now and it stands up very well to regular use. Well worth the investment

Just fitted one into a Westerly Merlin with folding leaf table. Did not want to risk leaks in cockpit floor (over berth in aft cabin) with pedestal type.

Many thanks to you all for your replies ... Should make cockpit dining a lot easier ... Looks like I'll have to get one! ... Expensive but, like the boat, you've only got to buy it once!

Hi, please could you tell us where you purchased the spares as we need to replace two worn bushes, tables now wobbly but getting on a abit.
