Would any of you fellow forumites like to give an opinion of a power cat like the Lagoon power 43, I would love to hear some feed back from anyone who owns or have owned one. Thinking it would be a good choice in the Bristol channel and north Cornish coast as there are plenty of harbours that dry out but very few marinas, this is limiting our weekend cruising to the same old marinas .

I don't own one, but they are very popular in the charter fleets of north Queensland (Aust.). Great space and seem quite efficient with fuel economy. A fairly 'wet' boat underway, but great stability, and a real favourite with SWMBO.

Biggest downside is marina berthage arrangements and slipping (traditional cradles, if people still use them these days).

I've looked at them several times at boat shows. First off, it is hugely wide and you might have difficulty finding a berth. Otherwise, I liked it, particularly the vast aft cabin between the 2 hulls which compares very favourably to the coffins masquerading as cabins on most cats. Also the aft cockpit is very nice and moving about the boat is very easy thanks to the wide decks. I don't think it's a fast boat though, maybe 20kts tops
