Lady Anna is now safely home in goa
we are averaging 34 deg with schorching sun
how is it back there in england???

fantastic trip up from colombo srilanka to goa
720 nm in all done in 2.5 days
averaging 22-24 knots in the day and 12 knots after dark
she behaved herself all the way without any hiccups

the biggest advantage is i now have a cleaning crew of four only to clean her and keep her looking shiny .....read no more washing the boat for me

will post pics as soon as i figure how

Ah the benefits of cheap labour. The weather is crap in England by the way, but I'm guessing you knew that.

720nm in 2.5 days is good going. Did you manage to get any sleep?

cheap labour...can be a good thing
i recollect an arguement with the kohler service chaps in poole who wanted to bill me an extra hour of labour for disposing the waste oil.... labour cost 45quid ....new oil 18 quid...nevertheles big arguement ....got the full labour cost of the service waived.

720 nm in 2.5 days was rather hectic ...i had 3 friends along so we didnt stop much except 2 fuel stops and continued throughout with 2 on watch and 2 sleeping

Congrats Bigmoose. Sounds a good trip - I'd want a week or 2 off the boat after 700nm! Post the pics - if any probs email them to my work email and I'll put them up on here today

I remember eating prawns the size of lobsters barbequed in garlic and lime marinade in Goa, I think the restaurant was called the Stone House or something similar - you walk up steps off the coast road. Still features in my best 5 meals ever.

at the end of it no british isurance would cover so the only other option was to have a complex bareboat charter agreement with our principal company etc
which then the indian insurers were will to accept
however the premium is a shocking 7000 sterling almost double of what i was paying in the uk.....the voyage from colombo to goa was an extra 700 quid ...but better to be safe than sorry methinks
