I first came across this 20 metre Motor Sailing Ketch in the early 2000s when she was up for sale down around London. Then about 10 years ago she hit the news when she had to be towed in by the lifeboat somewhere County Durham way.
Finally I came across on her being run as a floating BandB on the Caledonian Canal next to the Eagle Restaurant at Laggan Locks.
She had already gone into a decline when she reached Laggan Locks and I understand from the present owner that she had at one point been semi abandoned.
Anyway Apollo Duck have her up for sale but I think to recommission her as a sailing boat would need some financial input.
It would be nice to see her back where she belongs rather than as very a nice but fixed floating BandB
I well remember seeing the Bloodhound in the 1990s with a tree growing through her counter stern and look at her now!

Potentially good, but almost 70 years old with a wooden hull is going to need quite a LOT of cash dispersed to make her usable as an offshore yacht again. Bunkhouse/AIRBNB as she is now....

Just so you're aware, Andorina was successfully sailed down from the Caledonian into Rosneath. To be fully rebuilt.
