Got to get me and a couple of friends to La Trinite-sur-mer from South UK to meet a yacht there. Any suggestions about routes for a one-way? Nearest useable airport? Trains? Donkey?

Cheapest is probably a £10 Ryanair ticket to Brest and then hire a car : 110 miles, mainly dual carriageway. Another way is Ryanair to Dinard + car : 104 miles.

If you are over the luggage allowance then look at being foot passengers arriving at either Roscoff or St Malo and then renting a car.

Good luck.

For a more eco-friendly solution Eurostar to Paris, then TGV to Auray. Change to local bus service as has been mentionned. It will take about 6 hours.

Marc.

I believe Aer Arann also fly out from Luton to Lorient Airport. I've flown into Lorient from Ireland with them. You can get a taxi to Lorient station, train to Auray then bus to La Trinité.

The bus leaves from the station, about 100yds or so to the right as you leave Auray station. Not that frequent a service. I think I had to wait 90 minutes last time. Drops you in the middle of la Trinité close to the marinas.

I've also used Nantes airport, but it's a longer train ride to Auray.

Rennes aeroport to Rennes station ? Auray to La Trinité ?

A lot of changes and what is the cost?

I still think Ryanair to Brest and then car is the quickest and cheapest for 3 people.

I see that there may be a cheap flight on Aer Arann into Lorient. This might be an alternative.

John,

I think that Keelbolt asked to go one way - how does that fit in with car hire?
Taxi from Aeroport to Gare at Rennes about 20 euro from memory. As JCM says, bus from Auray to La TsM not frequent but good excuse for a small Ricard whilst waiting!!
