Some of you may have deduced, by the volume of my postings, that I'm sitting in a hotel room bored. I've even posted on 'the lounge'. Anyhow when I get back home I have two jobs, one is to move my boat to its summer mooring and the other is to go to the La Ciotat Boat Show.
This is also known as the Marseille Boat Show and is one of my favorites. Its small, intimate and close to home. La Ciotat is a beautiful town and port where superyachts are serviced. It's near the stunning town of Cassis, with wonderful cruising grounds and calanques (small sandy inlets between the amazing cliffs) now it's a national marine park. There are dolphins and glass bottom boats and lovely cliff top walks.
I'm hoping the man from Cummins/Onan is there so we can talk gensets and in the chandlery part I need to find the rope man, he's always there and I've put off buying soft rope for too long.
Its not a show for really big boats but I think, if you're in the area, it's worth a visit. It's a fraction the size of the Cannes boat show but to me that's it's charm.

many years ago I was at that show, and iirc it was very very small, mainly small boats and accesories,
we bumped in there just to spend some time.
anyway it was very bad weather at the time, so don't have good memory's on that visit.

on the other hand, you mention Cassis,
this is our favourite spot in SOF,
very nice memory's
long ago, we were there 3 years in a row, one week holliday with our 28ft boat,
and a year later, Blue Angel had her home berth there for 8 months, the biggest boat in there, right in the midle of the port :)
still have some good friends there .

This is particularly serious when you start posting in the lounge - you really shouldn't be going there; I've even heard of people never being able to get away again! And judging by your subsequent remarks where you can't wait to meet someone in order to talk gensets  and your apparent urgent need to meet 'the ropeman' to get some 'soft' rope:confused: suggests you must start boating again without any further delay if you are to banish such dark thoughts from your mind.

PS - my own boat isn't due to go back in the water until next month - but I don't think the withdrawal symptoms are showing at all.:ambivalence:

I think I'm alright but I have this urge to argue with everyone

Great boating and crappy boat shows. It's the stuff of memories:)
