KVH M3 or Intellian i2

We are planning to take Elizabeth Grace through the canals to the French Med / Nth Spain [max south Barcleona] and want to install sat tv on the radar arch. From what I read the i2 is the the lighter and have read good reports from i2 users around the UK - but cannot find anyone using eitherof them "down south". I understand there is now an issue regarding changing satellites
Has anyone got any thoughts
