No,not the chicago lawyers the dutch boats. We're considering the purchase of a steel holiday cottage & wonder whether any of the panel has any views on the seaworthiness of these vessels. Is the broker's word good enough?

<font color=red>I don't know about VLETS but the KOTTERS I have been aboard (although not my kind of boat) have been magnificient vessels, sturdy, well built and seemingly put together with a lot of forethought. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I've no experience of them at sea, but looking (brokers pictures+internet,so far) at a lot of dutch boats , even when they look a bit sea-going, there's a lot that's not bolted down inside. Also ,things like bilge pumps seem almost a luxury item, certainly not fitted to every boat

We're off to Holland on Sunday to try to find something suitable
