Anyone got one? Ours has ceased to work because a message appears on the screen saying that the motor has stopped, but we cant work out why because there is nothing obstructing it. Also there is no-one to tell us why over here because there appears to be no dealers, probably Channel island yacht services till they shut down.
Any ideas?

I had a Koden, it worked just fine. If the motor has stopped on yours then maybe the motor is knackered? Is there a fuse to the motor? Look in your handbook.

Hi,

Koden Radars used to be tied in with Marconi, but Mantsbrite MArine Electronics have recently taken on the distributorship of Koden. They can be contacted at 19F Spital Road, Maldon, Essex CM9 6DY. Tel 01621 853003.

No I'm not some Geek with loads of knowledge, I just saw the exact same question in Motor Boats Monthly, if that was you then here is the answer.

The radar works for about 2 to 3 mins but then eventually the motor stops, so it does work for a while until it cuts out.
I thought it might have been due to it being slammed around with the sea, but surely they're designed to take that ?

Thanks that will be very useful, seeing as all the marine places over here dont have a clue.
It wasnt me who put that question in the magazine but if it is happening to others then maybe its a common fault. We thought it my be due to voltage dropping but again it cant burn the batteries down that quickly
