Knock Sensor

Hi peeps, doing a bit of spring cleaning. Guys who did a service for me last year said I should replace the Knock Sensor, so bought one (picking it up from Barrus because they are just down the road). But I've not replaced one before.

Looks quite simple but needs to be tighted using a torque wrench which is fine, just wondered if anyone had any tips or is it a straight forward undo and do up replacement?

Never changed one on a boat but I have on a Mitsibushi import we used to have, hardest thing was getting at it then it was just a swap out.

Should just be a disconnect, unscrew and replace. I guess there is a copper "O" ring to seal the joint?

No idea...just got it...bloody expensive thing! Anyone know if I can paint it?

Not sure why you would wnat to paint it? Certainly not the sensing part that screws into the engine.

no not that bit, but clearly the blocks are sprayed after this goes on. Mine has virtually disintegrated in my hand this afternoon!
