It would seem most unusual to attempt the NWP single handed - even if it is easier now than in the past, easy being relative. I have not looked at the geography and have no idea where Kiwi Roa might be in relation to the passage but it does seem late in the season to be up there.

Previously Kiwi Roa's exploits have been relatively well documented here by our other good friend and contributor Craig, son of Peter. I have to wonder if young Craig, who will not be quite so young now, will be (or is) on board.

I note that Peter himself is not embroiled in any controversy (though plenty of others are). Peter, or Kiwi Roa's contributions seem very limited.

I find it interesting that the AIS is not functioning and that 'apparently' you can make an attempt at the NWP without notifying anyone (Kiwi Roa seems to have been identified by chance and a bit late).

A commendable journey from NZ by a 73 year old (with or without young Craig).
