Seriously considering changing fixed blade prop for Kiwi Props feathering. Price looks v good £795 + VAT - especially compared with the Brunton (of which we've heard excellent reports).

Does anyone have any experience of the prop or the supplier ?

There was a letter/article in PBO recently about this - he was apparently very pleased and bought unseen direct from NZ - (presuming this is the prop with ZYTEL - plastic blades)

Yes, that's the one. It maybe that HWMBO got the details from PBO. The spec looks good - we might expect up to 1.5kn extra under sail if we remove current 3-blader. Certainly when we changed from 2 to 3 blades we lost about 0.5 to 1 kn (the story is that we ordered a folding Volvo prop - costing about twice what the Kiwi does) and when they came to fit it there was this problem - nicely described by engineer no. 2 (as opposed to engineer 1 who ordered it without measuring) "negative space" so we ended up with 3 blader ! We can now stop which was a nice change but the sailing performance is sadly affected.

Thanks - they've sent us lots of bumph but I'd really like to hear if others have implemented the Kiwi prop with success - or not.

Any Antipodeans tried it ?
