Kipper Adhesive

Hitherto, I have stuck the rubber gasket for my saildrive to the hull with a two-part adhesive. I have seen one-part J B Weld Silicone Sealant recommended as an alternative. Can any forum members confirm its suitability?

If you use a silicone product and it doesn't work, you will have immense difficulty making any other adhesive work. IMHO, and the opinion of many other members of this forum, silicone has no place on a boat. I used Sikaflex to do this jo and it has held up for nine years. (Note to Self: Time to change the saildrive diaphragm!)

No to silicone, I'd use CT1 (or OB1 from Screwfix)...
